I have now been to Almost Famous Bar twice, and it has impressed me both times. It is a small bar, but that is part of the charm. The space has a really cool minimalist feel, with lots of concrete, steel and grey tones, which gives it a modern and slightly industrial vibe without feeling cold or unwelcoming. It feels stylish, relaxed and a bit different from the usual bar setup.

The beer selection is excellent and was one of the main reasons I came back. There is a really strong range on offer, including some great choices from Garage Project from New Zealand, which was a very nice surprise to see. It is always a good sign when a bar has clearly put thought into what it serves, rather than just offering the standard predictable options. The food was also very good, with tasty choices that matched the drinks well.

The staff were friendly, knowledgeable and easy to talk to. They helped make the whole experience even better, and it felt like they genuinely knew the drinks list and cared about customers having a good time.

It can be a little noisy, but that also adds to the atmosphere and energy of the place. Because the bar is quite small, I would strongly recommend making a reservation if there is more than one or two of you. Overall, this is a fantastic spot with great beer, good food, a cool vibe and excellent service. Highly recommended. ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ stars.

Great food and good beer.
Very noisy crowd though for me as a hearing impaired.
google
A nice little Korean craft beer bar. Cozy, friendly, and located right in the F&B of Chijmes. You could do a lot worse than dropping in here to give these guys your money for good beer,
google
Food, service, atmosphere was more than just 5 stars! The Mexican-Korean inspired menu must not be missed! I’m not too much of a vegetable eater and cauliflower should be a shared dish but I ended up having everything myself. All in all, would definitely recommend.

Loved the beer choices here. They’ve got your go-to classics and some cool flavoured options thrown in too. Nicely done!
google
Food presentation can be improved. Taste is ok, some hits and misses. Fried chicken is so-so and way overpriced. Beer choices are ok but pricing slightly high. Taco pricing is probably ok. Everything has some Korean spice in it, maybe abit much sometimes. Restaurant is noisy. Service is ok, they’re friendly.

Nice place for craft beer. As the name suggests, most of the taps are American breweries. There are a few locations around Singapore. This is s verified Untappd venue.
google
Good craft beer, good pizzas, with various promos everyday. They allow tasting and are friendly and welcoming. A pity they close too "early", despite being in town. It's a great place for quiet time by yourself in the earlier hours and also for groups to just hang out and chat in the later hours. It is comfortable, vibrant environment to chat among your own friends, with every table having their own noisy conversations.
google
Literally gone round the the block, as locating the establishment was a bit of a treasure hunt for first timers. By golly was this a true treasure indeed! A beer lover’s haven. They've got a huge selection ( I stop counting at one) of beer from all over available on tap (thus the name), which changes periodically when each keg is sold out. A good variety of the usual bar food from the kitchen. The pizzas here a are a great compliment to your pint of choice. The staffers in here are a fabulous great bunch to boot.
google
Had an excellent experience at American Tap Room Waterloo thanks to Dinesh and Chef Yanni!
His hospitality was warm, attentive, and genuinely generous. Chef Yanni’s cheeseburger tastes amazeballs!

Service was flawless, and his craft beer recommendations were spot on. A nice place for great craft beers, made even better by outstanding service.

A hidden gem in Singapore!

Affordable drinks, delicious steaks, nice environment but what outshined everything was the service standards of the crews. All the service staffs were welcoming & polite. They were also proactively refilling our water!
google
Not sure why my Reservation on the website did not register, and staff could only seat our party at a inner booth. However, they were really helpful in moving us to the window seats once available, checking in regularly if we were happy for our seats.

Food-wise - had the A3/4 Wagyu Ribeye (Japan) Medium Rare and it was amazing! The Australian Black Angus Ribeye was a little tough and chewy. Had sharing sides like Mashed Potatoes, Mac and Cheese, and the Asparagus, those were so-so not bad.

The Molten Lava Cake was so good, will come back just for the dessert. However, we mentioned to the staff that it was for a birthday celebration and they forgot, so there wasn't much of a surprise 🙁

I visited good luck on a random afternoon recently. I had the very delicious Laksa. It paired very well with the IPA as well as the lager beer. The staff was also very friendly and welcoming. They allowed me as a walk-in guest and I sat on the outside enjoying the warm Singaporean day with a good meal and drinks. Excellent as a solo traveler like myself, or in a group with friends. Relaxing and wonderful atmosphere, great food and I highly recommend this place!

Very quaint place to chill out with friends. Small indoor seating area hence good to make reservations especially on hot days!
google
Was there on a Sunday afternoon with my family (2 kids). We thoroughly enjoyed the food. There was a wide selection from their menu and we were spoilt for choice. We decided to order a few of the recommended items like the baked salmon and spinach pie, tater waffle, mac and cheese, brunch skillet, truffle fries, etc. Our kids really enjoyed the food and we can feel the effort put in to perfect the dishes. Service was also top notch, thanks to Ailin and staff. Indoor seating area is small so its more suitable for small group sizes. I noticed a good selection of beers but i didnt managed to try them. I enjoyed the iced mocha that i ordered. Highly recommended cafe if you are in the area.
google
Delighted with this find for lunch! Wide selection of food; from appetisers, salads to breakfasts, pastas, pizzas and crepes, other mains like chicken schnitzel, fish and chips and sides and desserts to share. They have both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. Kids enjoyed the mac and cheese and their baked salmon and spinach pie is delish! Cafe has both indoor and outdoor seats, good for 2 yo 6 pax. A great place to hang out with friends till late (close at 10.30 pm).

Super nice little cafe and bar. Relaxed and informal. Very good food. Great wine and beer. I loved the vibe.

Now I have eaten, table starters only, but were lovely. I love the cosy, quiet, airy, period property, street corner vibe. Of course I'll be back......
google
The spam fires a little salty, chicken a little dry, the pasta was great but might be even better if the sauce is not overpowering the food.

Overall recommend to go due to the quite environment and extensive drink collection.

Will come back again to try other food.

Ive been coming here since they opened in 2019.

From plastic cups to glass, 10 taps to 12 to the 15 today. Beat the landlord to their current new location.

There isn't a better location that combines good beer, good vibes and good food.

Always worth checking out if you are in SG! Strongly recommend.

I’ve now been to Orh Gao Peh Gao (Botanic Gardens) twice, and both visits have been really enjoyable, just in very different ways. My most recent visit was at around 7.15pm on a Thursday, and it was absolutely buzzing. It is clearly a very popular taproom, and I was lucky to get the second to last table available. That alone says a lot about how in demand this place is, so I would definitely recommend booking in advance if you are planning to visit at a peak time. Even though it was busy, the atmosphere still felt lively and welcoming rather than overwhelming.

One of the real highlights was the staff. They were very friendly, helpful, and attentive, which always makes a big difference, especially when a place is packed. It was great to see that they stayed warm and welcoming even during such a busy service. That kind of hospitality really stands out.

The beer selection was also excellent, with a really good mix of local and international options. There was plenty of choice, whether you wanted to try something new or stick with an old favourite. The food was also really good and definitely worth mentioning. This is not just somewhere to come for a drink, but a place where you can also have a genuinely satisfying meal.

Inside, it was quite noisy, which made conversation a little difficult at times. Sitting outside in the courtyard was much better, with a more relaxed noise level while still keeping the good atmosphere.

Interestingly, I had also been here once before on a wet Sunday night, and that visit was much quieter. Despite the very different vibe, it still didn’t disappoint. That says a lot about the consistency of Orh Gao Peh Gao (Botanic Gardens). Overall, a fantastic taproom with great beer, really good food, and genuinely friendly staff. Highly recommend.
google
great vibes, tasty and interesting beer selection. the food menu isn’t extensive but what we tried was super delicious.

Located in a nowadays very empty hawker center. Varied craft beer, but like most craft beer places in singapore the focus is mainly IPAs .
google
This place is very special, and clearly well-deserving of its legendary place in the Singapore beer scene. When you walk into the building, head over towards the far right (north) side, or to put it another way, go up the escalators, turn right and then walk right to the edge of the hawker center on 2F to find it. Beer selection is top notch, quick and friendly service and, contrary to other older reviews, they DO accept card payment.

Find a table, grab some satay or whatever from a nearby stall and get stuck in. Unique atmosphere due to being in a hawker center, very casual but you can feel the deep love for beer. A must visit for any beer fans visiting Singapore. After this I walked down to Upward Taproom (about 15mins away) which was also great, so recommend building a bar crawl around Smith Street Taps.
google
As a foreigner I wanted to enjoy a local craft beer. This was absolutely the right spot to do that. They had styles to satisfy every preference and it's in the most Singapore setting possible. Best local beer selection compared to any other beer garden in the city. I will probably go straight here from the Airport next time I'm in town.
google
Plenty of craft beer choices on tap and friendly staff who can recommend something bitter, clean, chocolatey, coffee-ish, fruity, resinous, sour and more to make up for the absence of tasters. Credit cards accepted now.

Smith Street Tap offers a wide variety of craft beers with many choices to suit different tastes. While it’s on the pricey side for a hawker centre, it’s an interesting concept and a fun place to enjoy good beer in a casual, local ambience.

One of us accidentally toppled and broke a wine glass, spilled wine and had pieces of glass in our food. Not only did 4 staff attend to us immediately, clearing the broken glass and plates, fresh glasses were brought to us almost immediately PLUS they served up new portions of our affected food without us asking for it. And all these were done with a smile. Kudos to the team!
