Beyond just a beer bar, it also provides a menu of tasty bar bites, pasta mains, and notably “almost famous” burgers, ensuring a pairing for every brew. Almost Famous is a must-visit if you seek a casual atmosphere to unwind with quality beers and tasty food.
The beer selection is excellent and was one of the main reasons I came back. There is a really strong range on offer, including some great choices from Garage Project from New Zealand, which was a very nice surprise to see. It is always a good sign when a bar has clearly put thought into what it serves, rather than just offering the standard predictable options. The food was also very good, with tasty choices that matched the drinks well.
The staff were friendly, knowledgeable and easy to talk to. They helped make the whole experience even better, and it felt like they genuinely knew the drinks list and cared about customers having a good time.
It can be a little noisy, but that also adds to the atmosphere and energy of the place. Because the bar is quite small, I would strongly recommend making a reservation if there is more than one or two of you. Overall, this is a fantastic spot with great beer, good food, a cool vibe and excellent service. Highly recommended. ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ stars.

Very noisy crowd though for me as a hearing impaired.
Loved the beer choices here. They’ve got your go-to classics and some cool flavoured options thrown in too. Nicely done!

Food-wise - had the A3/4 Wagyu Ribeye (Japan) Medium Rare and it was amazing! The Australian Black Angus Ribeye was a little tough and chewy. Had sharing sides like Mashed Potatoes, Mac and Cheese, and the Asparagus, those were so-so not bad.
The Molten Lava Cake was so good, will come back just for the dessert. However, we mentioned to the staff that it was for a birthday celebration and they forgot, so there wasn't much of a surprise 🙁

There isn't a better location that combines good beer, good vibes and good food.
Always worth checking out if you are in SG! Strongly recommend.
Space was conducive for catch up w friends
One of the real highlights was the staff. They were very friendly, helpful, and attentive, which always makes a big difference, especially when a place is packed. It was great to see that they stayed warm and welcoming even during such a busy service. That kind of hospitality really stands out.
The beer selection was also excellent, with a really good mix of local and international options. There was plenty of choice, whether you wanted to try something new or stick with an old favourite. The food was also really good and definitely worth mentioning. This is not just somewhere to come for a drink, but a place where you can also have a genuinely satisfying meal.
Inside, it was quite noisy, which made conversation a little difficult at times. Sitting outside in the courtyard was much better, with a more relaxed noise level while still keeping the good atmosphere.
Interestingly, I had also been here once before on a wet Sunday night, and that visit was much quieter. Despite the very different vibe, it still didn’t disappoint. That says a lot about the consistency of Orh Gao Peh Gao (Botanic Gardens). Overall, a fantastic taproom with great beer, really good food, and genuinely friendly staff. Highly recommend.
