Arriving in the evening, just stopping over for early flight next morning, after long flight the last thing one wants is hassle. Originally thinking it was convenient as it was only 1 stop from airport it was a lot more work than expected.
2 choices to come here. Grab a taxi or order via Grab or go via train. Seeing my expectations of being convenient I chose train but it was a wrong choice. Please take a Grab instead. I will explain later if you want to take a train.
It is only 10mins taxi ride, which I took returning back to airport. Current cost between $11-$20 depending on demand and traffic.
The reception and concierge shares the same tiny counter on the right side of the lobby. It has strong perfume inside I do not recommend people who have scent sensitivity.
I was told I got upgrade thinking it was a good thing... arrived at the room, it has a faint strange smell, with a spacious.... disabled bathroom. Normally it wont be a problem but the drainage was not working properly and water was all over the bathroom floor, as disabled bathroom dont have bearer between shower and rest of bathroom it was wet everywhere.
Besides that, the bed was big and comfortable. It was quiet and room temperature is adjustable. The upgraded room has cooking facility with fridge, induction (I didnt use so thats what I assume) and they offer tap filtered water instead of bottle plastic water which is a plus.
They have 24hours gym , they have swimming pool too.
Right next to Changi city point mall there are shops, restaurants around the corner of the hotel. And going through the mall one can get to the MRT conveniently too.
How to get to Dorsett via MRT Train.
Go to Skytrain to go to T2 (same signal as go to trains to city), follow signs to trains. There are escalators or lift for all transition point, very assessible for luggage carrier, wheelchair users, baby prams pushers.
MRT for those dont know you can tap with your credit card to go through gate, no need to bother with tickets.(There are tourist pass and local transport card for those planning to stay and use the MRT more frequently) All trains goes to Expo, get on the next available one.
One stop to Expo, look for Changi City point mall exit. Go find Puma store, next to the store there are exit next to it, thats the quickest path lead8ng to outside the mall to Dorsett hotel. Inside the mall, the signage for hotel is lacking or confusing so dont follow the sign. Just exit next to Puma store! Of course you can go around the mall walking on the street to avoid the confusion inside the mall but you will be exposed to sun and heat and humidity. The mall blasts aircon out so it is very pleasant inside.
Once exit turn left and follow around the building and you will see Dorsett signage. On your right you will see some restaurants.
If you want to go back to airport via trains, you have to make sure the mall is open as it will be closed early morning. Or you can walk outside if you dont mind. I ended up calling Grab for a relaxing 10mins ride to airport, thats the easier option.

From the moment we arrived, the service at the reception stood out. Two of the staff, (Asikin & Sabrina) were especially kind, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. They didn’t just do their job — they went the extra mile to make our stay feel personal and special. When they found out we were celebrating my daughter’s birthday, they surprised us with a complimentary cake, which was such a thoughtful and unexpected gesture.
It may seem like a small thing, but it meant so much to us. Seeing my daughter’s happiness in that moment made everything even more meaningful, and it’s something we’ll always remember.
Overall, the stay was comfortable and pleasant, but what truly made the difference was the warmth and sincerity of the staff. Thank you for making our celebration so special — we truly appreciate the effort and care. We’ll definitely be back again 💫
The hotel feels like a peaceful escape, set within lush greenery and right next to beautiful golf courses, which makes it very different from a typical city hotel in Singapore. The atmosphere is calm, spacious, and very serene, perfect for unwinding.
My room was modern, elegant, and very comfortable, with large windows that brought in plenty of natural light and nice views of the surroundings. The bed was excellent, and everything felt clean, polished, and thoughtfully designed.
One of the highlights was definitely the pool and outdoor areas—they felt resort-like and quiet, making it easy to spend a full day just relaxing on property. It really gave the stay a holiday feel.
The staff were warm, attentive, and very professional, always ensuring everything ran smoothly without ever feeling intrusive.
Overall, it felt like a perfect mix of luxury, tranquility, and resort comfort, and I’d absolutely stay here again for a peaceful getaway in Singapore.
